After four days of captivating competitions, Piergiorgio Bucci (ITA) won the Grand Prix Longines in Crans-Montana

It was one of the highlights of this year’s Jumping Longines of Crans-Montana: The prestigious Grand Prix Longines was won by Piergiorgio Bucci (ITA) on Cochello. He was followed by Hans-Dieter Deher (GER) on Berlinda on the second and Riccardo Pisani (ITA) on Cristo on the third place. The winner received an elegant Longines watch from Charles Villoz, Longines Vice President Sales.

This year again, excellent riders have been gathering in Crans-Montana to compete in various exciting show-jumping competitions. The Swiss watch brand is proud to support the Jumping Longines of Crans-Montana as Official Partner and Timekeeper for the fourth consecutive year.

The Official Watch of this year’s Jumping Longines Crans-Montana is an model from the collection HydroConquest. Its bezel is enhanced with a blue ceramic insert, which matches the colour of the dial, adding a touch of brilliance and modern styling. Scratch-resistant, it ties together the fully modernized design and sporty silhouette of this collection. This timepiece combines technical excellence and traditional elegance, two of the brand's greatest values.

The collaboration between Longines and the Jumping Longines Crans-Montana reinforces the brand’s traditional commitment in equestrian sports and makes Longines a major player in this field. Longines has been associated with the equestrian world since its inception. The oldest known Longines watch decorated with equestrian motifs dates from 1869, and ushered in a handsome series of equestrian-themed pocket watches. The brand’s early ties with horses encouraged the watchmakers of Saint-Imier to pursue advances in sports timekeeping for equestrian competitions. In 1878, the winged hourglass brand developed its first chronograph movement, the legendary 20H. In addition, the Swiss watch brand was associated for the first time with a show jumping event in 1912. Today, Longines is passionately committed to the equestrian world and its various disciplines.
