    Longines to continue as Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of Belmont Park and Saratoga Race Course

    Longines and the New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA), today announced the renewal of their partnership. The Swiss watch brand will continue to serve as the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of Belmont Park and Saratoga Race Course.   As part of this agreement, Longines will be designated as the Official Timekeeper, Official Watch and Preferred Partner of the Grade 1 Belmont Stakes, the centerpiece of the three-day Belmont Stakes Racing Festival held during the first weekend of June. First launched as a multi-day event in 2015, the 2019 Belmont Stakes Racing Festival included 18 stakes races over three days, including an unprecedented eight Grade 1 races on Belmont Stakes Day.   This partnership renewal also means that Longines will continue to serve as the Title Partner of the Grade 1 Longines Just A Game on Belmont Stakes Day as well as the Grade 1 Longines Test at Saratoga Race Course, which is contested on Whitney Day.%break%"We are especially proud to renew our collaboration with NYRA, Belmont Park and Saratoga Race Course, as Preferred Partner, Official Timekeeper and Official Watch,” said Longines Vice President Marketing, Matthieu Baumgartner. “Through these partnerships, our brand is honored to take an active part in Belmont Stakes Day and the Whitney Day.     Breeders' Cup World Championships

    Swiss watch brand Longines served as the Official Partner, Official Timekeeper, and Official Watch of the 36th Breeders’ Cup World Championships, which took place on Friday 1  and Saturday 2 November in Santa Anita, CA (USA). On Saturday, Vino Rosso and his jockey Irad Ortiz Jr., galloped to victory in the Longines Breeders’ Cup. On the same day, Longines returned as the Title Partner of the Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff, won by Blue Prize, as well as of the Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf, won by Bricks and Mortar. The winning connections of these three races received elegant timepieces from the hands of Longines representatives.   The weekend was also marked by the much-awaited Longines Prize for Elegance, in keeping with the brand’s motto ‘Elegance is an Attitude’. The fashion contest celebrated individual expressions of elegance, rewarding those Breeders’ Cup attendees who exude style, sophistication and confidence with a Longines timepiece.   As the Official Watch of the Breeders’ Cup, Longines was also delighted to highlight a new model from The Longines Master Collection. Powered by a new self-winding movement developed exclusively for Longines, this timepiece is characterized by a moon phase indicator and a refined aesthetic, creating a balance between technical excellence and classic elegance.

    Longines to extend its partnership with the Breeders’ Cup

    Longines is proud to renew its collaboration with the Breeders' Cup, one of Thoroughbred horse racing's most famous international events.  As part of this new agreement, the Swiss watch brand becomes the Title Partner of the newly named Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic.   A brand that has been rooted in equestrian universe for 150 years, Longines has been an important Breeders’ Cup partner since 2014. In addition to acting as the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, the renowned watchmaker continues to serve as the Title Partner for the Longines Breeders' Cup Turf and the Longines Breeders' Cup Distaff.     Longines HKIR Prelude Race Night

    Hong Kong (Hong Kong SAR), 23 October 2019 – Swiss watch brand LONGINES was proud to time today at Happy Valley racecourse the LONGINES Night Races, the much-awaited horseracing rendezvous which kicks off the LONGINES Hong Kong International Races week. Happy Time was led to victory by Australian jockey Zac Purton in the highlight and sixth race of the evening, the LONGINES Cup. The winning owner, jockey and trainer each received an elegant LONGINES timepieces, presented by Ms. Karen Au Yeung, Vice President of LONGINES Hong Kong.     The Longines Irish Champions Weekend featured the QIPCO Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown, won by Ryan Moore on Magical and the Comer Group International Irish St Leger at the Curragh, claimed by Chris Hayes on Search For A Song. Longines rewarded winning owners, trainers and jockeys of these two prestigious races with Longines watches.     King George Day, The Longines Handicap Stakes 2019

    On Saturday, July 27, during the King George Day, Longines was proud to celebrate Redarna’s victory in the Longines Handicap Stakes for Lady Riders at Ascot racetrack, of which the Swiss watch brand is the Official Partner and Timekeeper.   The winning jockey, Emma Sayer, as well as owner, trainer and lad were presented with elegant timepieces from the hands of Longines’ representatives.   Earlier that day, Longines was thrilled to time the win of Enable and his jockey Frankie Dettori at the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth QIPCO Stakes.   On that occasion, Longines was also proud to highlight the Official Watch of King George Day, a steel and gold model from the Record collection. Combining classic elegance with watchmaking excellence, each piece in this line houses a movement including a single-crystal silicon balance spring with unique properties and is certified as a “chronometer” by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC).
