On Saturday, July 27, during the King George Day, Longines was proud to celebrate Redarna’s victory in the Longines Handicap Stakes for Lady Riders at Ascot racetrack, of which the Swiss watch brand is the Official Partner and Timekeeper. The winning jockey, Emma Sayer, as well as owner, trainer and lad were presented with elegant timepieces from the hands of Longines’ representatives. Earlier that day, Longines was thrilled to time the win of Enable and his jockey Frankie Dettori at the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth QIPCO Stakes. On that occasion, Longines was also proud to highlight the Official Watch of King George Day, a steel and gold model from the Record collection. Combining classic elegance with watchmaking excellence, each piece in this line houses a movement including a single-crystal silicon balance spring with unique properties and is certified as a “chronometer” by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC).
On July 14, 2019, Longines was proud to time the victory of Calaconta and Eddy Hardouin in the Longines Handicap de la Fête National, hosted at the Longchamp racetrack in Paris (France). On that occasion, the spectators had the opportunity to discover the Official Watch of the event, a model from the HydroConquest collection. Combining technical excellence and traditional elegance both hallmarks of the winged hourglass brand, this line features a bezel enhanced with a coloured ceramic insert adding a touch of brilliance and modern styling.
