Russian rhythmic gymnasts Arina and Dina Averina were welcomed as members of the Longines family of Ambassadors of Elegance. Born on August 13, 1998, the twin sisters discovered the world of gymnastics at the age of four thanks to their mother. Arina and Dina first appeared in international competitions at the 2011 Russian-Chinese Youth Games where Dina won the gold medal and Arina earned 5th place in the all-around competition. Longines is delighted to announce that Japan’s artistic gymnast Kohei Uchimura has become a member of the Longines family of Ambassadors of Elegance. Born on January 3rd, 1989, Kohei Uchimura was introduced to the world of gymnastics at the age of 3 through his parents, both former gymnasts. In 2007, he joined the Japan’s national gymnastics team and made a spectacular senior debut by claiming a bronze medal in the vault at the World Cup in Paris. As the Official Partner and Timekeeper of the 2017 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Montréal, Longines was proud to present the Longines Prize for Elegance to Brooklyn Moore and Kenzo Shirai. All participants in the individual men and women All-around finals held respectively on Thursday October 5th and Friday October 6th were nominated for this elegant contest.
