SPECIAL RECOMMENDATIONS

  • MAGNETIC FIELDS

Avoid leaving your watch near electromagnetic sources, as they may affect the operation of your timepiece.

  • CLEANING

Use a toothbrush and soapy water to clean metal bracelets and waterproof casings, then rinse with fresh water. Dry with a soft cloth.

  • SALT WATER

Always rinse your watch with fresh water after contact with salt water.

  • CHEMICALS

Avoid direct contact with solvents, detergents, perfume, cosmetics, etc., which could damage the bracelet, casing or seals.

  • WATER RESISTANCE

A watch's water resistant properties cannot be guaranteed indefinitely. They can be affected by seal wear or accidental shock. We recommend that you have your watch's water resistance tested once a year by an authorised Longines service centre.

  • SHOCKS

Avoid subjecting your watch to shocks, including sudden changes in temperature.

  • TEMPERATURE

Avoid exposing your watch to extreme temperatures (less than 0°C or 32°F and more than 60°C or 140°F) and sudden changes of temperature.

  • SCREW-DOWN CROWN

Before immersing your watch in water, make sure the crown is carefully screwed down to ensure no water enters the mechanism.

  • BASIC CROWN

Always push the crown back into the neutral position to ensure no water enters the mechanism.

  • CHRONOGRAPH PUSHERS

Do not operate the pushers under water, or water may enter the mechanism.
